ONE21 TRUSTED CIRCLE SMS MESSAGE FLOW

How SMS consent works

One 21 Trusted Circle uses one recipient opt-in method: consumer-initiated SMS keyword consent.

1. A One 21 user adds a pending contact

The One 21 account holder enters a trusted person's name and mobile number. This only creates a pending Trusted Circle contact. It does not subscribe the person, does not constitute consent, and does not activate ongoing SMS alerts.

2. The recipient independently opts in

The account holder asks the trusted person outside of One 21 SMS messaging to visit www.my121.org/sms-opt-in. The recipient must independently text JOIN to (701) 291-1710 from the same mobile number listed as the pending contact.

3. Disclosure shown before opt-in

By texting JOIN, you agree to receive One 21 Trusted Circle safety and service messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

4. One 21 confirms enrollment

When JOIN is received from a matching pending number, One 21 sends the required disclosures and asks the recipient to reply Y. Only after Y is received does One 21 record final consent and activate Trusted Circle SMS.

5. Ongoing control

Recipients may reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for assistance. Mobile opt-in information and consent records are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
